Dr. Abdur Rahman is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at Louisiana Tech University, where he directs the Intelligent Systems and Optimization (ISO) Lab. His research focuses on robust, explainable, and adaptive machine learning for industrial systems, with applications spanning manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare. Dr. Rahman’s recent work includes developing domain-adaptation frameworks for biomass quality assessment, neural architecture search for transfer learning, and reinforcement learning-based time-series anomaly detection. He has contributed to multiple funded projects supported by USDA, DHS, NIH, and Cotton Incorporated, and his research has appeared in journals such as Expert Systems With Applications, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Computers in Biology and Medicine, and Smart Agricultural Technology. Recently, Dr. Rahman's ISO Lab has secured funding from NSF and the Louisiana Board of Regents.
