A message from the VP for Research

Welcome to Louisiana Tech’s Research Enterprise!

Louisiana Tech is classified as a Carnegie R2 (Research University/High Activity) institution. We take great pride in the exceptional quality of our research, as reflected in the peer-reviewed publications that report our discoveries and innovations, and the competitive external funding we secure to support that research. Nearly everything we do involve our students.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of our research enterprise is deeply ingrained culture of collaboration within and across the academic and research units. Our research centers provide the infrastructure to conduct world-class research in a range of topics like traumatic brain injury, catalysts for energy applications, underground infrastructure installation, and more.

The integration of our research enterprise with the academic mission of the University has resulted in curricula that meet critical needs through partnerships with industries. Many of our industry partners have locations in our campus so as to gain ready access to both our students and our researchers.

Thank you for your interest in Louisiana Tech University’s research enterprise!
