Early Childhood Education - Grades PK-3 (MAT)

Shape young minds and lay the foundation for lifelong leaning in early childhood

The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Early Childhood Education prepares caring and skilled educators to teach children from pre-kindergarten through third grade. Designed for those with a bachelor’s degree, the program offers an accelerated path to earning a master’s degree and Louisiana teaching certification. The curriculum focuses on early childhood development, literacy, classroom management, and effective instructional strategies tailored to young learners’ needs. Students benefit from mentor teacher support while holding a Practitioner License (PL3) that allows them to teach during their training. This program empowers future educators to create nurturing, inclusive environments that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
