Teacher Leader Education (Certificate)

Empower your peers and lead with purpose to teach beyond the classroom

The graduate certificate in Teacher Leader Education is designed for educators who want to expand their influence beyond their own classrooms and become catalysts for school improvement. This program equips teachers with leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making skills that enhance instruction and support student success at the school-wide level. Aligned with the competencies outlined by the Louisiana Department of Education, the certificate program prepares teachers to serve as instructional leaders, curriculum coordinators, department chairs, and professional development facilitators without leaving the classroom. Coursework focuses on fostering a culture of collaboration, improving student achievement through evidence-based practices, and guiding fellow educators with confidence.
