Architecture (MArch)

Master the craft. Lead the design. Step into practice.

The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) at Louisiana Tech University is a NAAB-accredited professional degree that prepares students to step directly into architectural practice and pursue licensure. Building on a strong pre-professional foundation, the program emphasizes advanced design synthesis, critical thinking, and integration across systems, structure, technology, and professional practice.

At the core of the program is a year-long comprehensive studio, where students develop a major project that demonstrates their ability to think holistically and operate at the level of a professional architect. Projects are grounded in real-world challenges and require students to balance conceptual ambition with technical precision and contextual responsiveness.

What makes this program stand out is its focus on readiness; students leave not only with a well-rounded portfolio but with the confidence and skills to contribute meaningfully from day one. Faculty with professional experience provide close mentorship, and the curriculum is structured to mirror the collaborative, interdisciplinary nature of contemporary practice.

For students ready to take the final step toward becoming licensed architects, the M.Arch offers a direct, rigorous, and practice-focused path into the profession.
