Geography (Minor)

Study the World’s Places, People, and Systems with a Minor in Geography

The Geography minor allows students to explore the relationships between people, places, and environments on a global scale. Students develop an understanding of how geographic systems influence culture, politics, economics, and the natural world. The program includes opportunities to study human and physical geography, with the option to substitute up to 6 hours of Geographic Information Science (GIS) courses for a more technical focus. This minor complements majors in fields like environmental science, history, political science, business, and education, preparing students for careers that require spatial awareness, cultural understanding, and analytical problem-solving.
