Louisiana Tech University’s School of Design is bringing the campus and local community together this fall by showcasing student artwork in Downtown Ruston. The exhibition, titled "Degrees of Art," will be hosted at the Historic Fire Station, providing a dedicated space for residents and visitors to view the collection throughout the season.

Juried by Tonia Henderson and Kay Walker, the showcase features selected works created by students currently enrolled in the University's Studio Art and VISTA programs.

To celebrate the launch of "Degrees of Art," Louisiana Tech and the City of Ruston invite the public to attend a free opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Ruston Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau, the reception provides an opportunity for attendees to meet the student artists. Additionally, all works featured in the exhibition will be available for purchase.

The Historic Fire Station is located at 200 E. Mississippi Avenue in Downtown Ruston.
