Music Facilities

The Louisiana Tech University School of Music is housed in two primary locations: the historic Howard Center for the Performing Arts and the Band Building.

Howard Center for the Performing Arts (HCPA)

Located on the southernmost point of Louisiana Tech University’s historic Quadrangle is Howard Center for the Performing Arts. Within Howard Center, visitors can find administrative and classroom spaces for both the School of Music and the School of Theatre, as well as a number of performing venues, faculty studios, and various teaching and learning spaces. Located nearest the clock tower and Centennial Plaza, the west wing of Howard Center is home to the School of Music.

Band Building

Nestled between Woodard Hall and the prestigious A.E. Phillips Lab School is Tech’s other music facility: the Band Building. Home to the Band Office, this building houses two large rehearsal rooms, along with additional practice rooms and the applied studios for single reeds, low brass, and percussion.
